💚🤍📚⚓ A Walk Down Memory Lane at Shore! ⚓📚💙💛

Recently, we were thrilled to welcom a small gathering of Shore alumni from the Classes of 1985 and 1986—shout out to the class of 1986, Shore’s final graduating class—for a stroll through the halls that hold so many memories. As they toured the building, stories flowed freely, sparking conversations about school days that don’t seem all that long ago.

From lunchtime movies (🎥 🍿 always popular memory!) to the fruit vending machine, every corner seemed to unlock another piece of Shore history. One particularly fun discovery, in our group, we had a former lunchtime movie ticket seller in the group! 🎟️ Thanks to an original Shore Breeze newsletter 📰 , we were able to verify the claim—leading to even more stories and laughter.

The visit also inspired exciting discussions about sharing and loaning Shore artifacts for display. We’re already looking forward to the possible return of a Shore Cheer uniform 📣 and other pieces of Admiral history!

Shore Cultural Centre would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the community involvement volunteers at Progressive Insurance (@progressive) as well as the students and faculty at Frederick Douglass High School Euclid Campus @fd_high_euclid) for their incredible service and support of our community space.

🪏🪻🌷🧽🧼🧹 Thanks to the hard work and generosity, Shore received an amazing beautification transformation — from landscaping improvements and a beautiful new flower box to cleaning and refresh work completed inside our new commercial kitchen area. Their efforts brought new energy and care to our campus, helping make Shore even more welcoming for the countless artists, students, families, and community members who visit and engage each day.

Community partnerships like these remind us that Shore Cultural Centre is more than just a building — it is a shared space strengthened through compassion, teamwork, and people who believe in giving back.

From the roar of the crowd to the hush before the curtain rises … some moments never leave you. 🏀🎭

These views from the stage hold it all—games, concerts, plays, assemblies, and the past and present memories that shaped generations here at Shore. Friends in the seats, nerves backstage, pride in every performance. And above it all, a simple reminder: “Dedicated to the Youth of this City For the Development of Mind and Body.”

We’re thrilled to share that Shore Cultural Centre has been awarded a $19,327 grant from the Ohio History Connection Ohio History Fund! ✨

Out of a record 68 applications statewide, Shore was selected as one of only 15 recipients this year—an incredible honor for our historic landmark and the community we serve.

This funding will go directly toward the full renovation of the two public restrooms near the Shore auditorium, helping us continue improving accessibility and the visitor experience for everyone who walks through our doors 🚻

We’re deeply grateful to the Ohio History Connection (@ohiohistory) and our partners at Euclid Ohio City Hall (@euclid_ohio) for their support and belief in our ongoing mission to preserve and enhance this special place in Euclid.

On Sunday, April 19 at 3 PM, experience the brilliance of 17-year-old clarinetist Nicholas Garrett, winner of the 2025–2026 Tom Baker Young Artists Competition, performing Concertino for Clarinet and Orchestra by Carl Maria von Weber.

🎼 Petite Suite by Claude Debussy
